This is the AR calendar for 2023. I created illustrations for each month based on the characteristics (weather, festival, and things people usually do) of each month. There is a QR code on each page, and users have to scan the QR code to gain an AR animation for every month. Users could place the AR animation on the area that said: "AR here." Then they could see how the AR effect cooperates with the illustration. This is a good example that how traditional graphic design could cooperate with AR technology to create a playful and interactive product. The calendar will also provide users with the perception of expecting and surprising. Users could expect to get an AR animation every month.
Cover Design
For the cover design, I emphasized the concept of "AR" and played with the vocabulary of "Calendar." Characters are popping out from texts, presenting that AR technology brings reality to these characters. I also include the logo of Adobe Aero to inform users that they have to download the app to gain AR experience from the calendar.
